It is obviously subject to interpretation. The Mosaic Law will continue in the new covenant, but conditions will be immeasurably different. Jesus obeys the Law, but also fulfills it. Paul upholds it, but teaches that it has been superseded by grace through faith. The old law was supposed to have found its way to the heart (Dt. 6.6; 11.18), but the evil of the natural heart posed a barrier (Dt. 10.16; 11.16; Jer. 4.4; 5.23; 17.1). A new way of relating to God, born of the Spirit, transformative in nature, truly redemptive (not the symbolism of the OT, but truly atoning and redemptive) would actually change the human heart, enabling people to relate to God in spirit and in truth Dt. 30.6, 11-14; Jer. 24.7; Ezk. 11.19; 18.31; 36.26). It is accomplished through the indwelling of Christ: Christ in us, the hope of glory. Gal. 5.18, 25—we are now led by the Spirit, keeping step with the Spirit

What does it mean God will write his law on our heart?
