[Christian Pothead]

What are your opinions on the illuminati and satanic symbolism that people think they see in television shows, newscasts, movies, music videos etc? For example, there's a YouTube user named The Vigilant Christian who makes daily videos of how demonic forces are brainwashing people through subliminal messages. Here are couple videos by him so you know what I'm referring to

Before I became a born-again Christian, these types of Christians are what turned me off to faith in Christ. They look too deeply into things in my opinion. What's your opinion? I believe it's true to an extent, but not nearly as far as The Vigilant Christian thinks it is.

I would say that we're better off spending our time dying to sin within ourselves than chasing subliminal ghosts in the media. While I do think that there are a lot of sinful things in the media, they're quite obvious and are far more dangerous to our souls and our culture than "subliminal brainwashing." We should spend our time and energies fighting against injustice, advocating for the poor, dying to our own sin, and strengthening the church, rather than in this mystical cultural guesswork.
